For games you can have a hounted area. Blind fold the kids and have them touch crazy stuff like peeled grapes (eyeballs), spaghetti in oil (brains), dry some chicken bones for the skeleton, etc. You can have them guess what they are but it will be fun and will freak them out a bit.

YES! I have some great recipes for you here at this site >> http://bertc.com/recipes.htm look under appetizers.. and whatever else trips your trigger for icky sounding recipes.. Also.. try the Chunky Cat Barf.. just substitute ricotta for the cottage cheese..and it tastes like lasagna.. without all the fuss. Some of the recipes ARE what they say they are.. involving cricket heads and ant brood… but some are just oddly named :P

Toss a chunk of dry ice into a big black plstic cauldron of punch tomake it smoke. Be sure the kids (boys) don’t play w/ the dry ice or they could get really hurt.

Ice a cupcake green. Stick either a Nutter Butter cookie or Milano cookie in on one end, write RIP on it to make it lookslike a tombstone. You can put brown icing in front of it like a freshly-dug grave.

your daughter probably she wants scary stuff like skeleton’s an fake spiders and you should go to the store and buy the bottle that has fake blood and put it on the skeleton’s and on the wall. I know because because I am 13 years old.

One cool “game” was where you told a ghost story and pass around peeled grapes (eyeballs), cold spaghetti noodles (hair), and some other gross stuff for them to feel to make it interesting.

Dance game where you play halloweenish songs (i.e. monster mash) and they dance until the music is stopped and have to freeze..first who moves is out…and you do that until everyone but one person is eliminated – winner gets a ghoulish prize.

You could do a “make a mummy” game in teams (if there’s enough people.) Get out the toilet paper and wrap up your mummy!

If you have an extra room or basement area you aren’t using for the party you could set up your own “haunted house” for them to walk through.

Usually magazines for women that you buy at grocery checkout stands have great looking Halloween cupcakes that look like spiders or ghosts or something.

Maybe you could make a fruit salad mixed with something gooey like yogurt or jello (or both) and marshmallows and call it “Monster Guts.” (or any other combination of food you’d like that would look gross enough for you to call it that)

Food ideas: Cupcakes with orange frosting and piece of holloween candy on top. Can do the same things with cookies or make a cake.

Cake: decorated with halloween collors, use flat cookies stuck into cake as tombstones and color with frostings. There are so many different types of candies out there that you can use to decorate.

In fruit punch you can wash off plastic spiders and put them in punch, use gummy worms and such and put them in there.

Jello made with gummy worms in it and on top for decorations.

Go to http://www.allrecipes.com and they might give you some good ideas.
Also google halloween recipes and you could probably find more than you need

Inexpensive decorations could be crepe paper, spiders, webs, colored light bulbs, paper products with halloween decorations on them..You can get really good items at like dollar stores or any store that has halloween items..
